REGISTRY

The Registrar is a Principal Administrative Officer of the College. He is responsible to the Provost for the day to day administrative work flow in the Registry. His effectiveness can be measured only in terms of institutional goals and the extent to which these are met to the satisfaction of various constituencies. The Registrar carries out the following duties:

1.        Coordinates the activities in the Registry Wing

2.        Liaises with the Provost for the day to day running of the Wing.

3.        Dissemination of information and instructions from the Provost to all staff, lecturers and students on academic and administrative issues.

4.        Oversees the administration and discipline of staff and students.

5.        Performs any other duties that may be authorized by the Provost NACOE.

6.        Coordinate the screening of all candidates seeking admission into the NCE and Degree programmes in line with the requirements stipulated by the regulatory authorities.

7.        Responsible for keeping the records of all students from the date of entry to graduation. The records are processed and monitored from entry through graduation and are kept for future reference purposes. Such records/documents include:

           a.     Students personal files opened on admission

           b.     Results of students on NCE and Degree programmes

           c.      Admission letters and course registration forms of all students.

8.        The Registry Wing presents graduating students’ results to the Academic Board for ratification and final approval.

9.        The Registry Wing prepares the various departments for accreditation by the NCCE/NUC which holds at any time as deemed fit by NCCE/NUC

10.       The Registry Wing is also responsible for the deployment and supervision of NCE students on Teaching Practice (TP).

11.        Performs any other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the Provost.
