DEPUTY PROVOST ADMINISTRATION

The Deputy Provost Administration is a Principal Staff Officer of the College and is responsible to the Provost for administrative activities. He deputizes for and assists the Provost on the effective management of the College. The broad functions performed by the Deputy Provost Administration include:

1.         Deputizes for the Provost on Administrative matters and staff welfare.

2.         Engages in the implementation of various administrative plans and policies.

3.         Ensures that quality educational services are being delivered in accordance with the College Handbook.

4.         Participates in key decisions and oversees publication of documents issued by the Office of the Provost.

5.         Works in all ways to ensure that students’ welfare and programmes are provided appropriately.

6.         Liaison in communication and collaboration with administrators, schools, students and other constituents of the College.

7.         Promotes positive image and maintains effective relationship for the Office of the Provost by representing the Provost at various meetings.

8.         Ensures that miscellaneous projects related to academic affairs are completed in the best interest of the College by accepting and accomplishing those tasks which are delegated by the Provost.

9.         The Deputy Provost Administration reports to the Provost and supervises professional and support staff.

10.       Performs any other task as may be assigned from time to time by the Provost.
